Η σκάλα υποδηλώνει πέρασμα, ανάβαση, ανύψωση, άνοδο – κάθοδο και απόδραση. Αποτελεί αλληγορία της σύνδεσης μεταξύ γης και ουρανού, της μετάβασης από τον φυσικό στον μεταφυσικό κόσμο. Συμβολίζει το ταξίδι της ψυχής προς τον ουρανό, το πέρασμα από το σκοτάδι στο φως και αντίστροφα, καθώς και την πνευματική ανύψωση.

Ladder indicates passage, ascent, elevation, ascent – descent and escape. It is an allegory of the connection between earth and sky, of the transition from the physical to the metaphysical world. It serves as a metaphor of soul’s journey to heaven, the passage from darkness to light and vice versa, as well as spiritual ascension.
