Linguistic structure # we will meet again, 2021

Μέρος του πρότζεκτ [θα συναντηθούμε ξανά / H O P E], ένα γλωσσικά δομημένο υφασμένο χαρτί που χρησιμοποιείται σε γραφομηχανή για γραφή.
Σε αυτήν την αναδιαμόρφωση κειμένου ερευνώ, όχι μόνο το νόημα των λέξεων και την εσωτερική επιθυμία που αποκαλύπτεται, αλλά και την υλικότητα της γλώσσας ως ένα σύστημα σημείων μέσω της φυσικότητας της χειρονομίας της ύφανσης.

Το τρίτο μέρος της εγκατάστασης είναι ένα αρχείο ήχου με μια σύνθεση στην οποία  ακούμε τον ήχο της γραφομηχανής όταν πληκτρολογούνται οι λέξεις «we will meet again“, ένα όμποε και ένα γαλλικό κόρνο όπου η μουσική γραμμή είναι δομημένη απο  τον ήχο των γραμμένων λέξεων (we will meet again)  στην παρτιτούρα.

Όλες οι δομές επικεντρώνονται στη φράση we will meet again (θα συναντηθούμε ξανά) η οποία επαναλαμβάνεται με την μορφή ενος κανόνα, προσευχής, ευχής ή μάντρα. Μέσα από την επανάληψη τονίζεται και αποκαλύπτεται η έννοια των λέξεων ως ουσιαστικό στοιχείο της ανθρώπινης κατάστασης κάτι που υποχρεούμαστε να αποφεύγουμε κατά τη διάρκεια της πανδημίας.

Part of the project [we will meet again / H O P E], a linguistic woven paper structure using a typewriter for writing.
In this textual re- configuration I investigate, not only the meaning of the words and the inner wish  that it is revealed,  but also the materiality of the language as a system of signs through the physicality of the gesture of weaving.

The third part of the installation is an audio file with a sound composition in which we listen to the sound of the typewriter while I was typing the words “we will meet again”, also an Oboe and a French Horn. In this composition the music line is structured by the sound of the written words on the score we will meet again.

All structures focus on the phrase we will meet again by repetition, as a way of a canon, a prayer, a wish, a mantra, underlining and revealing the meaning of the words as an essential element of the human condition and way of living, which we are obliged to avoid during the pandemic.
